Next weekend the place to be for partying will no doubt be all the Abu Dhabi F1 after race parties and concerts, more about that in next week's blog, BUT for those staying in Dubai that weekend, we are happy to inform you that Ravers in Dubai is organising the first of their two Xmas parties at Voco Hotel - JLT on Saturday 7th of December, it will be an outdoor classic old school house music party on the terrace The Cheeky Camel.

Also throughout the long National Holiday weekend there will be the opening parties of Ukiyo Dubai located at the Emirates Financial Towers, starting Thursday 28th of November with Joris Voorn as the headliner and running all the way through to Monday 2nd of December.
For the techno lovers - Sectacollective is on as well at Level 42 of the Media One hotel on Saturday 30th of November:

But the real news is for the Psytrance and Goa Trance lovers, because those will be spoiled all weekend long:
Saturday 30th of November there will be a Goan Trance festival organised by Wolfstalks and Antispin at Al Qudra desert AS WELL AS a Psytrance festival Parvati Calling organised by Synthwaves at the Desert Inn in Ras Al Kaimah.
And if that is not enough - 3rd Eye Rising is organising on Sunday 1st of December at Blu Oasis another psytrance event with headliner Vini Vici.

For those of you not familiar with Goa Trance or Psytrance - this dance culture started late 70s early 80s in Goa. It grew out of the hippie scene from the 60s with DJs in the 70's playing psychedelic rock from bands such as The Doors, The Grateful Dead and Pink Floyd, with even as early as mid-80s DJs such af Fred Disko and Goa Gil switching to the newly-emerging Goa style.
By end of the 80's Goa was one of the main global centres of electronic music and Goa Trance spread rapidly across the globe in the early 90s creating a truly global dance movement.
In Europe Goa Trance became immensily popular, mainly in countries like Germany (VooV festival), Belgium and one of the biggest yearly global festivals in Hungary called Ozora.
Personally I got introduced to Goa trance in 1994/1995 and was sold from the moment I entered the venue, being blown away by the fluorescent artwork and psychedelic music as well as the fact that most of these parties are outdoors in nature and last for ages until last man standing, Goa Trance and Psytrance will always be my safe place and number 1 go to party!
Nowadays Psytrance is a global phenomenon and it was one of the first things I googled when I moved to Dubai 5 years ago! 'Desert psytrance party Dubai' turned out to have zero results on Google in 2019, and I had to wait until 2022 after begging Dubai Techno House to organise not only a techno event but also a psytrance night in the desert to finally get to experience a Psytrance party under the stars in Al Qudra desert !
Dubai (and UAE) have come along way since, with 3rd Eye Rising, Dubai Techno House, Synthwaves, Blisstronic and now Wolfstalk and Antispin organising events on a regular basis, culminating this weekend in an overloaded goa trance and psytrance calendar, exactly like with any other parties in Dubai, there is just too much choice !
Add to that that Bart the Raver has shifted his priorities to cycling with this amazing weather we are currently having and has scaled back his partying adventures, it looks like you will only find me at Blu Oasis this weekend to enjoy the psychedelic tunes of Vini Vici!
